The Glass City Showdown is an event NOT to be missed! A first class tournament run by Terron Gillespie. It is always in the summer at the Holiday Inn Express in Bowling Green, OH. Make plans to be there next year…You don’t want to miss this one. I recorded a few videos while we were there…
Coach Austin Womack playing a tough matchup with veteran Dearell Brevard need to complete this pass and get more yards after the catch to get the first down.
He definitely hit the receiver but by knocking him over it was a diving catch and the ball was down there.
Austin fought back at the end needing a score to close the gap as time was winding down. Dearell’s relentless pass rush again made him get rid of the ball fast. He only had one receiver open and he was double covered. Austin went for broke and threaded the needle
hitting the receiver with a perfect pass. He burst through the secondary for a long touchdown. Despite Austin’s heroics, Dearell was too much this time. We are all looking forward to the rematch!
Jeff Priest’s running game got off to a great start as the second half began. On the second play he broke free for a long TD run!
